Sufyan is being recognized for going above and beyond to help the KR staff and students with the popcorn fire incident during 3rd lunch on 9/13.

Lori works tirelessly to help students remediate for Algebra I SOL. She stays late and tutors her students to help them succeed. Lori has made a lasting impact on not only her students, but is a shining example of dedication to students, supporting all outcomes for all students regardless of being their assigned teacher. She is deserving of recognition for her.

 

Kettle Run Fall Play - Lightning Girl

Please join us for our presentation of Lightning Girl by Rita Anderson
Showtimes: Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19 at 7:00 PM and Sunday, October 20 at 2:00 PM

Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students.

This is based on the true story of Juliane Koepcke and her 11 days of surviving alone in the Amazon rainforest.

Kettle Run now has a Literary Art Magazine and we want to show off your work!

Submissions including; Poetry, Photography, Writing, Music, Art, CAD, and anything else creative are welcome.

Poetry Contest

Enter the fall Writing Contest by October 15th.

Entries will be judges by the Open Book Book club for Writers.
Prize categories for the best poem and best short story..

Winning entries will be put on display at The Open Bookstore.

Trunk or Treat

Trunk or treat at kettle run

Join us for a spooktacular afternoon of fun at our annual Trunk or Treat! Bring the family for a safe, community-friendly Halloween event where Kettle Run clubs and organizations will be decorating their car trunks and handing out candy and treats.

October 27th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM

October is Bullying Prevention Month

October is Bulling Prevention Month. Studies show that 1 out of 5 kids are bullied and 43% of students have been digitally harassed. 

Anti Bullying Week Spirit Points

Earn Points for you class by participating in the Anti-Bullying spirit week!

Monday, October 7 - World Day of Bullying Prevention
Kick off Anti-Bullying Week by wearing Blue to show your support for kindness and inclusion. Stop by during your lunch to make a pledge to stomp out bullying.

Tuesday, October 8 - Team Up Against Bullying
Let's team up against bullying. Wear your favorite team Jersey to show that we are all on the same team.

Wednesday, October 9 - Be a Hero, Not a Bully
Be a hero and stand up to bullying. Wear a shirt of your favorite superhero and remember we all have the power to spread kindness!

Thursday, October 10 - Celebrate Difference
Let's celebrate what makes us all unique. Wear your most mismatched and wacky clothes to show that being different is something to be proud of.

Friday, October 11 - Blackout Bullying
Let's unite to blackout bullying. Wear black to show that we stand together against bullying and negative behavior.

Come to the Kettle Run Auditorium on Monday, October 21 at 6:00 PM for the Kettle Run Fall Concert.

Our performers will be dressed in costume and we invite the audience to do so as well!

 

Book Drive

Book Drive Ends October 15

The Basic Education and Literacy Book Drive runs now through October 15.
We are collecting Children's books, Young Adult Books, Fiction and Non-Fiction, School Textbooks and even dictionaries!
Drop off locations are by grade level, so make sure you earn some points for your class.
Freshmen: 401  Sophomores: 436  Juniors: 204  Seniors: 469
